Sedona Wolf Week is a new annual event hosted by Apex Protection Project and Plan B to Save Wolves to help change how the world sees wolves

This past April launched our inaugural event with the mission of literally changing the way people see wolves and affect how government develops policies regarding wolves while creating respect and protections for this essential apex predator. With this year’s event being an enormous success, we are already in preparation for Sedona Wolf Week 2018 so save the date for April 18-22nd, 2018!

This very special annual event is filled with diverse activities to enjoy including wolf experts from all over the country speaking on wolf-related subjects, films, kids’ activities, school presentations, fundraisers, art, entertainment and, of course, meeting the Apex Ambassador Pack! There’s literally something for everyone!

Sedona Wolf Week is a free event and open to everyone with a few exceptions; there are programs within Wolf Week where a donation is required. 100% of the donations received will go directly back to Apex Protection Project, Plan B, and other nonprofits that advocate, rescue and support wolves.

The  Band “AMERICA” Gives a Benefit Concert for Wolves

The band America supported Sedona Wolf Week by closing the event with a benefit concert. Iconic hits such as “A Horse with No Name”, “Ventura Highway”, “You Can Do Magic”, and “Tin Man”, to name a few, were played in an intimate setting at Poco Diablo Resort.

Ken Rowe Gallery Fundraiser

Ken takes a moment to talk about how important wolves are and why he supports protecting them

Located at internationally renowned Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village, Rowe Fine Art Gallery hosted a special gallery fundraiser for Apex and Plan B to Save Wolves with Ken Rowe, himself, presenting a special limited edition wolf sculpture in honor of Sedona Wolf Week and quick sculpting Apex’s own Sarge and gifting it to Sarge’s Angel Sponsor Barbara (seated with Sarge).

Guests enjoyed wine, art, music, a silent auction, and spending time privately with the Apex Pack on the terrace.

Rewriting the Fairytale Contest

People from all over the country joined in our effort to change the way people see wolves by entering our free Rewrite the Fairy Tale Contest! 

The winner got to attend Sedona Wolf Week for two nights and have their story theatrically read by actor Vernon G. Wells, star of Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior and Commando at the Champagne Brunch Fundraiser. The winning story will also be printed in a published book which will be made available for donation to Apex Protection Project and The Plan B Foundation. Free School Presentations

One of Apex’s missions is teaching our up-and-coming generations the beauty and importance of the wolf. One of the ways we do that is by giving free school presentations so that all schools, regardless of budget, are able to provide their students with this opportunity.
